Structures Technician – 90-Day Contract

About the role

This is a 90‑day contract position in Abu Dhabi, supporting the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program at Al Dhafra Air Base. The Structures Technician will maintain, repair and refurbish a variety of structural components for permanent, semi‑permanent and temporary facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair doors, roofing, flooring, foundations, gutters and surface coverings.
• Perform metal and fabric fabrication, welding, oxy/acetylene cutting, corrosion control and concrete form work.
• Carry out interior finish work including acoustic ceiling tile, sheetrock, drywall and carpentry repairs.
• Execute masonry tasks such as CMU, brick, tile installation and concrete form construction.
• Install and repair sheet‑metal systems, ductwork, metal patchwork and roll‑up doors.
• Apply protective coatings, sealants, epoxies, paints and fencing.
• Maintain and repair tension‑fabric shelter systems and related tent structures.
• Perform demolition, remodeling and refurbishment of existing facilities as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Valid driver’s licence, passport and US citizenship for facility credentials.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and work in temperatures above 100 °F.
