About the role
Speciality Hospital Abu Dhabi is looking for a Submission & Resubmission Officer to review and audit medical claims, handle resubmissions of rejected claims and support billing officers in meeting insurance payer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review and audit medical claims to ensure their accuracy and compliance.
- Handle the resubmission of rejected claims, following up with doctors to obtain justifications where necessary and preparing them for resubmission.
- Ensure that agreed price lists and provider manuals from insurance companies are followed when billing services to payers.
- Keep billing officers promptly informed of claim rejections so that corrective action can be taken to prevent recurrence.
- Submit claims to insurance companies with the correct codes and format within the stipulated timelines.
Required profile
- Medical or nursing graduate from a recognized university.
- Experience in insurance claims resubmission.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
