Summer Internship – Urban Designer & Landscape Architect

About the role

Join Gensler's UAE office for a full‑time, paid summer internship where you will work alongside experienced designers on real projects. The internship lasts a minimum of three months with a flexible start date.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design teams on urban and landscape projects.
• Participate in design charrettes, client workshops, and learning sessions.
• Attend lunch‑and‑learn events, in‑house training, and possible vendor visits.
• Engage in activities that support professional licensure development.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Architecture.
• Completed at least the third year of undergraduate study or the first year of graduate study.
• Planning to return to school after the internship and graduate within one year.
• Submit a PDF portfolio (2‑4 work samples) that showcases design process and innovative solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (required).
• Experience with AutoCAD or other BIM modeling tools (a plus).
• Adobe Creative Cloud Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• 3D rendering software such as SketchUp or 3ds Max.
• Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Hand sketching ability (a plus).
