Tax Director – UAE VAT & Indirect Tax

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Director to lead and expand our UAE VAT & Indirect Tax Advisory practice in Dubai. The role blends deep technical VAT knowledge with senior client management, team leadership, and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex UAE VAT and indirect tax advisory engagements.
• Manage relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, Tax Heads and other senior stakeholders.
• Develop and grow the UAE VAT advisory practice and service offering.
• Identify new business opportunities and support pitches and proposals.
• Oversee technical quality and delivery of client engagements.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing VAT team.
• Drive revenue, profitability, utilisation and overall practice performance.
• Stay updated on UAE VAT, FTA guidance and GCC tax developments.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in VAT and indirect tax advisory.
• Strong UAE/Dubai market experience.
• Proven senior‑level client management and engagement leadership.
• Business development experience and ability to grow client relationships.
• Practice or service‑line management experience (preferred).
• Big 4 or leading professional services background (preferred).
• Relevant qualification such as CA, CTA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT (preferred).
