Team Leader, Sales Support – Personal Banking

About the role

The Team Leader, Sales Support will head the Sales Support unit for personal banking loans and credit cards. You will drive operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless service.

Key responsibilities

• Review and authorize product documentation from sales channels, preparing submissions for credit review and approval.
• Verify that all documentation, application, and security requirements are met before disbursement.
• Pre‑screen files, coordinate submissions to Credit, and manage application processing through workflow systems.
• Generate credit bureau reports and Siron checks to support credit assessments.
• Oversee loan settlement activities, vendor agreements, settlement cheques, and related documentation.
• Maintain secure custody of original documents and collateral, archiving them per bank procedures.
• Monitor documentation irregularities, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve turnaround times.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing training on banking application controls.
• Collaborate with credit, loan operations, marketing, and HR to resolve issues and support onboarding.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales support or operations within personal banking or loan processing.
• Strong understanding of credit documentation, regulatory requirements, and risk management.
• Ability to lead a team, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
