Technical Director/Associate Director – Development, Planning & Urban Design

About the role

The Technical Director/Associate Director will lead the Development, Planning & Urban Design practice across the Middle East, driving growth, managing client relationships and overseeing project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director in implementing strategic vision, business plans and growth objectives for the practice.
• Lead major bids, proposals and strategic pursuits, building a qualified pipeline of planning and urban design projects.
• Act as Project Director on large‑scale development, planning and urban transformation commissions, overseeing scope, programme, quality and commercial performance.
• Provide line management and mentorship to senior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in urban planning, design and development, preferably within the Middle East.
• Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams, senior client relationships and commercial outcomes.
