Technical HSE Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking a Technical HSE Specialist to lead loss‑prevention engineering for the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex Project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures HSSEQ targets are met, supports safe project delivery and integrates technical expertise across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise loss‑prevention engineering activities, ensuring compliance with codes, standards and owner specifications.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, conduct technical bid analysis and provide performance data to PMC management.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, P&ID, layout safety reviews, QRA workshops and emergency response planning.
• Develop and maintain systems, procedures and standards for loss‑prevention engineering in line with international codes and owner HSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 15+ years of oil & gas/petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar senior HSE role on mega oil & gas or petrochemical projects, including ADNOC and offshore experience.
• Proven experience in FEED and EPC phases and familiarity with PMC environments.
