Technician Fire Alarm

About the role

The Technician Fire Alarm will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing fire safety across our facilities. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and programming of fire alarm systems to protect staff and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to fire safety notifications and conduct regular maintenance on addressable and conventional fire systems.
• Address, program, and maintain ESSER, SIMPLEX, EST, and APPOLLO fire panels according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Install new fire alarm devices, smoke sensors, MCPs, and fire panels following industry standards.
• Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for all fire safety systems.
• Prepare comprehensive fire alarm reports and follow up on rectifications until completion.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire alarm installation and maintenance.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for work.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in addressing and programming fire alarm panels.
• Experience with ESSER, SIMPLEX, EST, and APPOLLO fire panels.
• Installation of fire alarm devices and smoke sensors.
• Planned preventive maintenance of fire safety systems.
