Technician Trainee (UAE National) - Avionics, Airframe and Engine

About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a UAE national Technician Trainee in Sharjah. The trainee gains practical experience assisting engineers with avionics, airframe and engine maintenance on Air Arabia aircraft, including inspections, repairs and component replacement, and learning how to record work to the required standards and in line with Air Arabia and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support Line, Base Maintenance and/or Workshop engineers and staff in their daily work by carrying out assigned tasks timely and accurately.
• Follow a training programme agreed with the line manager, Training Department and Maintenance Managers.
• Perform all work according to Air Arabia standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out routine and non-routine maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft during maintenance inputs.
• Observe safety precautions set out in manufacturer manuals and other publications.
• Process part and component replacements professionally, following manuals and required documents.
• Inspect components physically before fitting them to aircraft and ensure labels and port blanking cover exposed areas.
• Maintain a tidy workstation before and after each task.
• Advise Certifying Engineers and Shift Managers of impending service disruptions or problems.
• Take part in training in other areas of the engineering and maintenance environment.

Required profile

• Age between 23 and 30 years; previous experience is not required.
• UAE national.
• Good reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English for technical communication.
• Physically fit, able to travel at short notice and to work under harsh conditions and on shift patterns.
• Ability to obtain a driver's licence for the assigned location/country.
• Basic understanding of airframe and engine maintenance theory and practice, and ability to learn maintenance on large commercial aircraft.

• Ability to work in a Line, Base Maintenance and/or Workshop environment.
