Technology, Media and Telecoms Lawyer – 1-6 PQE, Dubai

About the role

A prestigious international law firm is expanding its highly rated Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) practice in the Middle East and is hiring two lawyers through a local partner: a Junior Associate and a Senior Associate. The team works on premium tech procurement, digital transformation and complex commercial mandates, with direct client exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate high-value commercial contracts, services agreements and software contracts (on-premise and cloud-based/SaaS).
• Advise major corporate clients, financial institutions and tech companies on contract structuring, indemnities, warranties, termination rights and limitation of liability.
• Give commercial advice on boilerplate provisions, intellectual property rights and data privacy.
• For the Senior Associate: lead transaction management and complex negotiations, and mentor and develop junior team members.
• Work with broader sector groups on technology-driven mandates in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Institutions and Asset Management & Investment Funds.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in a Commercial, IP or TMT team at a leading international, Magic Circle or US law firm.
• Motivated, accountable and ambitious, with a genuine interest in the evolving TMT and digital business landscape.
• Prior Middle East experience or a strong understanding of regional market trends and legal developments is highly beneficial; strong international relocates will be considered.

Required skills

• Strong technical drafting skills and a robust understanding of commercial contract law.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
