Technology Procurement Specialist

About the role

The client, a well‑established retail company in the UAE, is creating a new position to manage the growing demand for technology services. The Technology Procurement Specialist will lead end‑to‑end sourcing and procurement across IT and digital categories.

Key responsibilities

• Execute strategic sourcing and procurement for software licenses, hardware, cloud subscriptions, SaaS platforms, managed services and technology projects.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts and ensure governance, compliance and risk frameworks are adhered to.
• Collaborate with IT, Information Security, Finance, Legal and business stakeholders to align procurement decisions with organisational priorities and value‑for‑money objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technology procurement, strategic sourcing, IT commercials or procurement operations.
• Proven track record negotiating contracts for SaaS platforms, software licensing, IT infrastructure, cloud services and professional services.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with procurement platforms such as Oracle, SAP Ariba or Coupa.
• Knowledge of SaaS, cloud services, software licensing and managed services procurement.
