Telecom Maintenance Engineer (Habshan 5 & Sulphur)

About the role

ADNOC GAS O&M is looking for a Telecom Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Maintenance Senior) for the Habshan 5 and Sulphur sites in Abu Dhabi. The role supervises and provides technical expertise in telecommunications engineering, plans, coordinates and directs the execution of plant telecommunications jobs to ensure availability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on routine, predictive and preventive maintenance of plant telecommunications systems, supporting HSE policies.
• Carry out complex repairs and maintain maintenance programs, including cost control, while monitoring equipment performance.
• Prepare capital, EOM, MM and operating budgets, five-year business plans and statements of requirements for new projects.
• Review and approve designs for telecom, radio, public address, alarm, CCTV, cabling and access systems, and select and test new telecom technologies.
• Monitor installations, witness factory and site acceptance tests, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and hand over minor upgrade projects.
• Act as division focal point for telecom activities of projects, consultants, FEED engineers and EPC contractors, and coordinate with the Telecom Regulatory Authority and PTT (Etisalat & Du) on radio interference, licences and network faults.
• Analyse network failures and plan, schedule and supervise preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and spare parts procurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• 6 years of experience managing telecom engineering services in a large industrial organization, preferably oil and gas.
• Experience guiding technicians in testing and troubleshooting telecom, CCTV, PAGA and plant access control systems and cable networks.
• Experience supervising subordinates and contractors.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of industrial telecommunications.
• Experience using MAXIMO for work order planning, scheduling and analysis.
• Planning, organizing, scheduling, coordinating, checking, examining and recording.
