About the role

ADIB is hiring a full-time Teller for its Shaikh Khalifa Energy Complex branch in Abu Dhabi. The purpose of the role is to deliver quality teller service to customers through accurate and efficient processing, while projecting ADIB's professional image in all customer interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Process all teller counter transactions, including cash deposits and withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase and sale, and cheque deposits, in line with operational policies and procedures.
• For centralized telegraphic transfers, liaise with the Treasury department to obtain the best rates for VIP and high-net-worth customers, in coordination with HOPs; the role may also serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process other new counter services introduced by ADIB.
• Cross-sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
• Perform general reconciliation and control activities: act as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery, assist HOP as the second custodian, carry out cash and end-of-day balancing, and ensure proper filing.
• Understand and process all centralized activities as part of the Branch Operations Centralization Projects.

Required profile

• Minimum two months of experience or training as a teller in a banking environment or at ADIB Academy.
• Knowledge of ADIB's retail banking products and services, and of ADIB's operational policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and risks, and of the Central Bank of UAE regulations.
• Fair knowledge of service standards and cross-selling.
