Tooling Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Tooling Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all tooling, jigs, fixtures, moulds and CNC fixtures are kept in optimal condition to support production and new product introductions. This role works closely with engineering, production teams and external suppliers to maintain high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain tooling jigs, fixtures, moulds, and CNC fixtures.
• Support tooling for new product introductions and ongoing production activities.
• Evaluate tooling defects and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Operate milling, lathe, drilling, grinding, and welding equipment.
• Assist with tooling inspections and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and suppliers to resolve tooling issues.
• Maintain accurate tooling records and track spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical or Manufacturing engineering.
• Proven experience in tooling, toolmaking, CNC fixtures, or manufacturing maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications.
• Hands‑on experience with machine tools and fabrication equipment.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and production processes.
