Transportation Manager

About the role

Anantara is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee daily transportation operations for team members and business needs at its Desert Islands Resort & Spa. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient transport services while maintaining high service standards and compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day transportation operations, plan schedules, and coordinate routes for staff, guests, and business activities.
• Ensure all vehicles are clean, safe, well‑maintained, and available as required.
• Supervise drivers, prepare duty rosters, monitor attendance, performance, and compliance.
• Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance costs and assist with budgeting.
• Maintain vehicle registration, insurance, licences, permits and conduct regular inspections.
• Investigate accidents or incidents and report transportation‑related concerns.
• Coordinate with Finance, People & Culture, Engineering and other departments on transport matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transportation or fleet management, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and vehicle safety standards.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
