Utilities Operator (DGD) – Plant Operations

About the role

The Utilities Operator (DGD) is responsible for operating and monitoring process plant and facilities in the assigned area, ensuring safe and efficient performance in line with company SOPs and HSE standards. The role involves routine equipment checks, chemical handling, and coordination with supervisors and contractors to maintain continuous plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational work safely according to Standard Operating Procedures, adjusting speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates as required.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, report defects and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Receive chemicals, maintain stock registers and prepare chemical batches while following HSE procedures.
• Operate related machinery and equipment efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental policies.
• Obtain work permits, monitor contractor activities and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies and contribute to emergency response teams.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in plant operations within a large industrial oil and gas facility.
• Knowledge of ADNOC Code of Practices and relevant HSE legislation.
• Ability to provide on‑the‑job training for UAE nationalization programs.
