About the role
The Vessel Sr. Superintendent is responsible for monitoring and controlling the cost‑efficient operation of assigned LPG vessels. The role provides technical and maintenance support on board, oversees inspections, repairs and spare‑part provisioning to ensure optimal performance.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure routine and preventive maintenance of hull, machinery and equipment is completed on schedule.
- Plan, arrange and supervise voyage and dry‑docking repairs as required.
- Perform vessel inspections and technical audits to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Monitor spare‑part needs and guarantee timely delivery of ship stores.
- Coordinate engineering projects, upgrades and material delivery for assigned vessels.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or equivalent Chief Engineer certificate.
- 3‑7 years sailing experience as Chief Engineer on LPG vessels.
- Minimum 2 years shore‑based experience as a Technical Superintendent managing LPG vessels.
- Proven ability to manage technical budgets and ensure compliance with maritime legislation and safety regulations.
