Waiter / Waitress - Hotel F&B

About the role

A permanent, full-time Waiter/Waitress position is open at the Novotel and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate hotels in the UAE. The role covers food and beverage service, function room set-up and support to other outlets during peak times.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard food and beverage service in line with departmental standards and procedures.
• Set up and unset function rooms, including table setting, according to established standards.
• Perform cashiering and beverage dispensing as assigned by Banquet Management.
• Gather and transport supplies needed for function set-up and carry out side duties.
• Attend to guest needs, complaints and on-site requests courteously and helpfully.
• Report deviations from standards, complaints, incidents and irregularities to management, and communicate guest comments and difficulties to the supervisor.
• Maintain operating equipment, keep service and storage areas safe, clean and locked, and help implement work simplification.
• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times and carry out other duties assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Average reading, writing and oral English proficiency.
• Well presented and professionally groomed at all times.
• Good communication, customer contact and problem-resolution skills, and good interpersonal and self-confident behaviour.
• Guest-oriented, service-minded, with attention to quality and detail.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is an added advantage; prior experience in related systems is an asset.
