Waiter / Waitress

About the role

Park Hyatt Dubai is looking for a Waiter/Waitress to deliver a refined, attentive and personalised dining experience. The role calls for excellent service etiquette, strong food and beverage knowledge and close attention to guest preferences, handling every stage of service professionally and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and courteously, ensuring prompt attention from arrival to departure.
• Present menus and give knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, daily specials and signature dishes, taking account of preferences and dietary requirements.
• Take accurate orders, enter them correctly into the Point of Sale (POS) system and communicate special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages to five-star standards, with proper presentation, timing, tableware and attention to detail.
• Maintain knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, beverages and promotions to answer guest questions.
• Monitor tables, anticipate needs and provide timely refills, table maintenance and course clearance without being intrusive.
• Prepare tables, service stations and dining areas with the right mise-en-place, keeping them clean and organised.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar, Hostess and other F&B colleagues on dietary needs, special occasions and service priorities.
• Handle guest feedback and minor service issues professionally, escalating to a supervisor when needed.
• Follow procedures on billing, payment handling, food safety, hygiene, responsible beverage service and health and safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service or Hotel Management is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Waiter/Waitress, preferably in a five-star hotel, luxury resort or upscale restaurant; freshers with passion and willingness are welcome.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance, with a courteous, guest-focused approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends, public holidays and flexible shifts.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu terminology, basic allergens and sequence of service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests from diverse nationalities and cultures.
