About the role
The Waiter/Waitress will represent Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach’s 5‑star culinary standards, delivering personalized dining experiences across à la carte and high‑volume buffet settings.
Key responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests, present daily specials, guide food‑beverage pairings and record dietary preferences.
- Manage buffet stations, explain dishes, maintain presentation, replenish utensils and uphold hygiene standards.
- Take accurate POS orders, coordinate timing with kitchen, serve and clear tables efficiently.
- Process payments, present guest folios and ensure a courteous farewell.
- Perform pre‑service setup, side‑station stocking, polishing of silverware/glassware and post‑service cleaning.
Required profile
- High school diploma; hospitality diploma preferred.
- 1–2 years experience in food & beverage service within a 4‑star/5‑star hotel or premium restaurant.
- Fluent English; additional languages (Arabic, French, Russian, German) advantageous.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
