Waiter/Waitress - Rixos Hotel, Dubai

About the role

A Rixos hotel in Dubai is looking for a full-time Waiter/Waitress. The role provides courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service following Rixos Standards of Performance, with flexibility to rotate between sub-departments of the Food & Beverage Division or other hotel departments as assigned.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, efficient and friendly service according to Standard Operating Procedures, and recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
• Keep the workplace and surroundings clean and organised, and handle guest enquiries courteously while building good customer relationships.
• Monitor operating supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage, and help with monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly inventory of equipment.
• Report guest complaints or problems to supervisors and follow up with guests.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, and report for duty on time in the correct uniform and name tag.
• Maintain personal appearance and hygiene, and uphold fire, hygiene, health and safety policies.
• Attend training and meetings as required, and be ready to take on other reasonable duties or redeploy to another department.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• Fresher or 1 year of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
