Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Iron Mountain, a provider of records and information management, digital transformation, data center, asset lifecycle and fine art storage solutions, is hiring a Warehouse Assistant in Dubai. The role works within the operations team, helping to process, pack, stock and move goods, and contributes to the agreed operational targets of the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and check stock during shipping and receiving
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup: load, pack, wrap, label and ship
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Move goods on pallets or crates, stack them in the right bays and use pallet jacks or PPTs
• Pick products accurately and use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away and loading
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged, and report quality variances
• Handle time-temperature sensitive and dangerous goods, consolidate cargo and weigh products
• Update logs and documentation, and keep the workplace clean and tidy
• Maintain safety standards, inspect machinery, follow 5S and Lean principles, and report incidents
• Support incident and crisis management, and meet productivity and inventory accuracy targets

Required profile

• High school certificate or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution preferred
• Basic knowledge of receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch, and of inventory handling and stock control
• Physically fit for manual warehouse work
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and overtime when required

Required skills

• Intermediate computer and RF scanner skills
• English reading, writing and verbal skills
• Intermediate mathematical skills
• Experience with RF scanners, WMS or SAP is an advantage
• Attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision and under pressure
