Workshop Manager – Commercial Vehicles

About the role

The Workshop Manager will lead daily workshop activities for United Diesel, ensuring high productivity, quality service, and customer satisfaction in the commercial vehicle sector.

Key responsibilities

• Control and manage daily workshop operations, monitoring efficiency, productivity, and utilization.
• Set and track service targets (gross profit, labour revenue, vehicles serviced, CSI, productivity, efficiency, retention).
• Identify new business opportunities and develop partnerships to increase revenue.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Monitor spare parts availability and coordinate with the Parts department.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit monthly performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (or equivalent certifications).
• Minimum 7 years of supervisory experience in an automotive workshop.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and improve workshop profitability.

Required skills

• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repair and maintenance.
• Quality control analysis and inspection techniques.
• Health and safety regulations and practices.
