AC Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AC Technician to join our team at Rixos Premium Dubai JBR. You will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s building systems, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of premises, HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on air‑conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Install, service and repair various air‑conditioning units (split, window, central, chillers).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical and plumbing issues, responding to emergency breakdowns.
• Monitor AC performance, gas levels, compressors and thermostats, and maintain filters, coils, ducts and ventilation.
• Maintain service logs, spare‑part inventory and coordinate with external contractors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and safety regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work in varied positions.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and respond to emergency calls.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

• HVAC troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
• Electrical and plumbing troubleshooting.
• Use of maintenance management systems.
• Basic computer skills.
