Academic Support Officer – UAEN (Dubai)

About the role

The Academic Support Officer provides essential academic and administrative assistance to program leaders, faculty members and students within the Higher Colleges of Technology. The role ensures smooth operation of academic programmes, supports crisis‑response initiatives and upholds confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Program Team Leaders, Academic Program Chairs, faculty and students with day‑to‑day academic administration.
• Schedule meetings, take minutes, arrange travel, book rooms and manage stationery supplies.
• Liaise with internal departments such as HR, Finance, IT, Procurement and Student Engagement.
• Collect data from stakeholders and produce regular and ad‑hoc reports, statistical analyses and presentations.
• Maintain student, faculty, programme and course records while safeguarding privacy and security.
• Support student registration, peak‑time academic services and course/program reviews.
• Provide administrative help for quality reviews, accreditation applications, budgeting, procurement and expense tracking.
• Assist with assessment preparation, KPI monitoring, market intelligence and research activities.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a diplomatic approach.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and crisis situations.
