AC/Cold-room Technician

About the role

Noon is expanding its hyper‑local delivery platform across the UAE and Saudi Arabia and needs a skilled AC/Cold‑room Technician to keep its facilities running smoothly. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment that supports fast‑moving e‑commerce operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair split units, VRF systems and ducted air‑conditioning units.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and restore functionality quickly.
• Clean and replace filters, fans and coils to ensure efficient operation.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs on cold rooms, chillers and freezer units.
• Maintain consistent temperature control and resolve refrigerant leaks, compressor failures and sensor issues.
• Perform defrosting operations and ensure proper airflow in cold storage.
• Develop and follow a preventive‑maintenance schedule for all HVAC and refrigeration assets.
• Ensure compliance with local safety, environmental and refrigerant handling regulations.
• Document all service activities and provide performance reports to the Facility Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI certification in Refrigeration, HVAC or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., EPA, F‑Gas) are a plus.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, preferably in retail, warehousing or cold‑storage environments.
• Proven expertise with cold rooms, chillers and freezer units.
• Valid UAE driving licence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and service manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools for air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
