About the role

As an Account Director in Government & Public Affairs, you will lead strategic communications for senior B2B and B2G clients across the UAE, shaping reputation and public perception while guiding project teams through complex public‑sector challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic communications counsel for senior B2B and B2G clients on reputation management and critical communications challenges.
• Develop, oversee, and execute comprehensive public relations strategies, public awareness campaigns, and integrated stakeholder communication plans.
• Drive thought‑leadership initiatives that position clients, shape public discourse, and enhance reputation within the UAE and the wider region.
• Manage complex media relations for sensitive public issues, engaging journalists, influencers and commentators across diverse platforms.
• Lead crisis and issues management to protect client reputation during public scrutiny or media challenges.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Government & Public Sector communications domain, leading pitches and conversions.
• Mentor and develop senior and junior team members, fostering a culture of strategic communications excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Director or Senior Account Manager in communications or public affairs.
• Demonstrated ability to advise C‑suite executives and senior government stakeholders on strategic communications.
• Strong track record of delivering integrated PR campaigns and managing crisis communications.
• Excellent leadership and team‑development skills.
