Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

An exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join a growing organization in Abu Dhabi. The role supports the finance function across accounting operations, reporting, payments, banking, tax compliance and audit support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities and prepare monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Process supplier payments, employee expenses and banking transactions while monitoring cash flow.
• Liaise with vendors, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve finance‑related queries.
• Prepare VAT returns, ensure tax compliance and support external audit schedules.
• Maintain accurate financial records in the ERP system and drive process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA are advantageous.
• 2‑4 years of accounting experience with strong payment processing and banking knowledge.
• Good understanding of VAT compliance, taxation and IFRS.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
• Based in the UAE; immediate availability preferred.
