Accountant – Financial Accounting & Reporting

About the role

ADNOC is seeking an experienced Accountant to lead the financial accounting functions for its logistics business unit. The role involves managing journal entries, financial ledgers, trial balances, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in line with company policy and ADNOC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the performance of general accounting functions, including maintenance of journal entries and financial ledgers.
• Prepare periodic trial balances, financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities, ensuring schedules are followed and deadlines met.
• Review and approve journal vouchers, accruals and other accounting transactions for accuracy and proper coding.
• Maintain up‑to‑date accounts, controlling debit/credit notes and reconciling balances.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and closing processes.
• Ability to work independently and ensure compliance with internal policies.
