Collection Operations Officer

About the role

The Collection Operations Officer supports First Abu Dhabi Bank by managing legal collection cases, coordinating with law firms, and providing advisory support to the bank’s recovery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with law firms for new cases assigned to ADGM court and other case types (cheque execution, REPO, civil cases) and update internal trackers.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensure case filing within agreed turnaround times, and provide required documentation.
• Maintain the legal case management system, update legal flags, and retrieve original files according to policy.
• Handle escalated collection requests from various channels, working closely with Collection and Recovery teams for legal advice.
• Act as backup for team members during absences, covering criminal, civil, and repo matters.
• Attend expert meetings, review commentaries and memos, and ensure timely completion of mandatory training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in the banking sector, preferably in collections or legal support.
• Demonstrated ability to set performance goals, identify training needs, and achieve high proficiency in required competencies.
• Strong knowledge of bank policies, central bank regulations, and current legal developments.
