Accountant

About the role

Bybit is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant (or Senior Accountant) to join its Finance team in Abu Dhabi. The role will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, month‑end and year‑end closing, and the preparation of financial reports in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities in line with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and other adjustments.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring records are complete, accurate and well‑supported.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations for bank, inter‑company, AP, AR and other key accounts.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and aged reconciling items.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages.
• Support the drafting of statutory financial statements and related schedules.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during interim and annual audits.
• Contribute to tax, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements where applicable.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a cross‑border, multi‑entity environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and financial adjustments.
• Capability to perform balance‑sheet and account reconciliations.
