Accountant – VAT & Corporate Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and detail‑oriented Accountant to oversee our financial records, ensure VAT compliance, and manage UAE Corporate Tax obligations. The successful candidate will deliver accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and support audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, journals, ledgers and process financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Handle fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and budgeting forecasts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, reconcile VAT accounts and support FTA audits.
• Assist with UAE Corporate Tax registration, compute tax liabilities and file annual returns.
• Coordinate with external auditors, ensure IFRS compliance and uphold internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience with FTA portal filings and audit support.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle or other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
