Aeromechanical Engineer II – Weapon Integration

About the role

EDGE is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineer II to lead the integration of weapon systems onto aircraft platforms. You will ensure mechanical compatibility, structural integrity, and safe carriage and release while complying with military and airworthiness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and verify mechanical interfaces between weapons, suspension equipment, and aircraft structures.
• Conduct structural loads, vibration, aeroelastic and dynamic analyses to assess integration impacts.
• Support design, integration and readiness reviews with technical inputs and analysis results.
• Prepare and execute ground and flight test activities, including instrumentation and data review.
• Maintain engineering documentation, calculations and compliance evidence with full traceability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of aerospace or defence experience, preferably in aircraft‑weapon integration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of safety‑critical development processes and military standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Experience using MATLAB and CFD software for numerical and fluid‑dynamic analysis.
• Knowledge of structural loads, vibration, aeroelasticity and dynamic response analysis.
