AFC Systems and Reporting Specialist

About the role

The AFC Systems and Reporting Specialist is responsible for daily operation, monitoring and reporting of Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems across Metro, Tram and test laboratories in Al Qusais and the RTA headquarters. The role ensures system health, data integrity and timely delivery of performance reports to RTA and Keolis‑MHI management.

Key responsibilities

• Publish daily, weekly and monthly AFC performance reports to RTA and Keolis‑MHI Dubai Metro Management.
• Monitor network status, disk space, AFC packages and functionality of Level 3 servers, workstations and AFC equipment.
• Perform proactive health checks, system administration tasks and preventive maintenance for all AFC equipment.
• Cross‑check AFC network interconnections with the Level 4 Central Clearing House, handling security and troubleshooting.
• Manage backup operations, file restoration and upload of the latest equipment operating data.
• Log faults in Maximo, coordinate with RTA and maintenance teams, and investigate customer complaints.
• Administer operator access control for ticket machines, vending machines, gates and portable checking devices.

Required profile

• Experience in managing and supporting large‑scale AFC or similar transport‑related IT systems.
• Strong analytical skills for log analysis and fault investigation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
