AI Engineer – Advanced LLM Agent Systems

About the role

Design, develop, and optimise advanced AI agent systems that power real‑world business applications for a forward‑thinking financial services organisation. You will work with cutting‑edge large language model (LLM) technologies, agent frameworks and tool integrations to deliver scalable, high‑impact solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI agent and multi‑agent systems for complex business use cases.
• Build LLM‑powered applications featuring advanced reasoning, planning, memory and execution capabilities.
• Develop tool‑integrated solutions that connect agents with APIs, databases, search platforms and external services.
• Architect robust context management and workflow orchestration using modern agent frameworks.
• Research and evaluate emerging AI, LLM and agent technologies to enhance existing products.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Proven experience building AI agent systems and LLM‑based applications beyond traditional chatbots.
• Strong understanding of agent architectures, tool/function calling, memory management and workflow orchestration.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen or similar.
• Deep knowledge of LLM concepts including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic reasoning, NLP and system integration patterns.
