Android Developer (Part-time)

About the role

Ventum is seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, build and maintain high‑quality Android applications. The role involves collaborating with a cross‑functional team to deliver new features and ensure optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Android SDK components, considering API level differences.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, fix bugs, and perform unit testing for robustness.
• Maintain code quality, performance, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the team to define, design, implement, and ship new features.
• Attend online meetings, provide regular technical reports, and support board activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing Android applications.
• Strong understanding of XML and JSON parsing, data sources and APIs.
• Experience with Android SDK, databases, web services, RESTful APIs, media and animation.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs, push notifications, memory and thread management.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Ability to work remotely, under pressure and communicate effectively.
