Antenna Engineer

About the role

Pulse Nova, a joint venture between EDGE and Indra, is developing cutting‑edge radar and sensing solutions for next‑generation defence systems. We are looking for an experienced Antenna Engineer to lead the design, development, validation and integration of high‑performance antenna solutions for radar applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise antenna architectures, including radiating elements, sub‑arrays, feeding networks and integration concepts.
• Translate system‑level radar requirements into electrical and mechanical design targets such as gain, bandwidth, beamwidth, polarization and sidelobe levels.
• Perform electromagnetic simulations and trade‑off analyses using tools like HFSS or CST.
• Develop verification strategies and lead test campaigns (impedance, radiation pattern, gain, polarization).
• Support integration of antenna solutions with RF front‑ends, TR modules, radomes, mechanical packaging and thermal constraints.
• Collaborate with RF, mechanical, manufacturing and systems engineering teams to ensure end‑to‑end performance and producibility.
• Provide technical leadership in design reviews, failure investigations and roadmap definition for future antenna technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in antenna engineering, electromagnetic design and validation of high‑performance RF systems.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electromagnetics, antenna arrays, propagation and matching.
• Proven experience with radar, EW, SATCOM or other defence/aerospace antenna applications.
