AR Accountant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant will manage the end‑to‑end receivable cycle for Emirates Post Group, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and robust credit control. This role supports financial stability by maintaining precise records and safeguarding confidential information.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve all receivable business functions, including debt collection processes.
• Supervise invoice processing, verify pricing, quantities, discounts, and taxes.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies quickly.
• Implement real‑time tracking of receivable accounts and optimise the accounting database.
• Perform monthly cash account reconciliations and adjust entries as needed.
• Identify and correct errors from customer service through precise accounting adjustments.
• Execute comprehensive bank reconciliations and document all entries.
• Manage returned cheques from postal box subscriptions, engage customers for payment resolution, and record refunds or collections.
• Stay updated on financial system changes and apply necessary adjustments.
• Provide accurate responses to management inquiries and prepare required reports.
• Communicate with clients to confirm invoice receipt, clarify payment expectations, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Escalate unresolved collection issues to appropriate management levels with clear documentation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, credit control, and collection procedures.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
• Proactive attitude in identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
