Arabic Teacher – Immediate Start

About the role

GEMS Winchester School in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Arabic Teacher to join the secondary team immediately. The successful candidate will inspire learners through inquiry‑based, student‑centred lessons while upholding the school’s core values of innovation, excellence, lifelong learning and global citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Arabic lessons aligned with curriculum standards and best practices.
• Differentiate instruction to support English Language Learners, gifted and talented students.
• Foster a respectful, collaborative classroom culture that promotes curiosity and well‑being.
• Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student progress using authentic methods and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and curriculum development.
• Participate actively in co‑curricular and community programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, state licence, etc.).
• Degree equivalency certification where applicable.
• Proven experience teaching Arabic at secondary level, preferably within the British curriculum.
• IELTS score of 6 or higher.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and classroom‑management skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and an inclusive school culture.
• Preference for candidates currently based in the UAE and available to start immediately.
