Area Compliance Officer

About the role

The Area Compliance Officer is a strategic partner responsible for safeguarding integrity across Holcim’s operations in the Middle East and Africa. Based in Dubai, you will report to the Regional Compliance Officer and work closely with local General Counsels and business leaders to embed a robust five‑pillar compliance programme.

Key responsibilities

• Guide country organisations in creating annual compliance plans and conducting thorough risk assessments.
• Advise local management on regulatory developments and complex legal issues.
• Design and deliver compliance training and awareness programmes.
• Monitor compliance activities, perform audits and support internal investigations.
• Ensure governance structures are effective and aligned with Holcim’s Code of Ethics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed controls and mitigate exposure.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory environments in the Middle East and Africa.
• Proven ability to work with legal and business teams in a multinational setting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
