Assistant Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage leads the property's culinary and beverage operations, overseeing restaurants, bars, room service, and banquets. Reporting to senior hotel management, the role ensures the brand’s service standards are met while driving revenue growth and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the food and beverage strategy aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Create and implement promotions, food‑and‑wine pairings, and new menu items.
• Integrate departmental goals into overall game plans and monitor performance.
• Lead and communicate with all F&B teams through briefings, staff meetings, and culinary sessions.
• Analyse in‑house and surrounding market opportunities, addressing challenges proactively.
• Manage staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs.
• Set performance expectations for the leadership team and hold them accountable.
• Provide constructive feedback to employees to maintain high service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 6 years of relevant experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, etc., with at least 4 years of experience.
• Proven experience in food and beverage, culinary operations, or event management within a luxury hotel environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, manage budgets, and enhance employee satisfaction.
