Assistant Director People & Culture – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Raffles Dubai is seeking an Assistant Director People & Culture to support the Director in delivering the hotel’s HR strategy. This senior, hands‑on position focuses on leadership, talent development, employee relations and operational excellence within a five‑star luxury environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Deputy to the Director of People & Culture, leading the function in their absence and translating strategy into measurable actions.
• Provide trusted advice and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Design and deliver leadership, communication and service training, leveraging digital learning platforms.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and colleague engagement initiatives that reflect the hotel’s luxury service culture.
• Analyze HR data, trends and KPIs, preparing reports for senior management and ensuring compliance with UAE legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience, preferably in luxury five‑star hospitality.
• Strong leadership presence, high emotional intelligence and ability to manage difficult conversations.
• Proven ability to build capability, empower teams and drive performance in a multicultural environment.
• Master’s degree in HR Management or related field; CIPD chartered membership is a plus.
