Assistant Educational Programs Manager

About the role

The Assistant Educational Programs Manager will support the design, coordination and delivery of themed museum programs aimed at enhancing children’s learning experiences. Working closely with the Programs and Education Manager, you will help ensure each activity meets museum standards and engages visitors of varying ages and abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and coordinating child‑focused museum programs that are fun, age‑appropriate and aligned with the museum’s educational goals.
• Create program schedules, calendars and detailed plans, including worksheets for docents that outline equipment, procedures and expected outcomes.
• Train and support docents to ensure they understand each program’s process and objectives.
• Attend initial sessions to advise on delivery, conduct quality control and revise sessions as needed.
• Establish standard scripts for each program and supervise their implementation, providing written feedback to the Programs and Education Manager.
• Conduct periodic assessments of instructional programs and contribute to future planning.
• Participate in the creative design and upgrade of exhibits, writing supporting documentation.
• Define visitor needs and propose programmatic solutions to meet those needs.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating educational or museum programs, preferably with children.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules, calendars and program documentation.
• Ability to train and guide staff, ensuring consistent delivery of program content.
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
