Assistant Head Teacher – Enhanced Curriculum Leader

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Head Teacher to lead the Enhanced Curriculum across the primary phase of our internationally‑focused school in Dubai. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape, embed and evaluate a high‑quality, inclusive curriculum that aligns with best international practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of an enhanced, coherent curriculum across subjects and key stages.
• Collaborate with heads of department to review schemes of work, sequencing and subject intent.
• Embed high‑quality teaching and learning strategies that support curriculum aims.
• Use assessment data to assess curriculum impact and drive refinements.
• Coach and provide CPD for staff on curriculum planning, pedagogy and subject leadership.
• Contribute to whole‑school improvement planning, inspection readiness and self‑evaluation.
• Promote cross‑curricular links, enrichment opportunities and wellbeing integration.
• Present curriculum developments and outcomes to senior leadership and governors.

Required profile

• A degree in Education with recognised teaching qualifications (e.g., NQT, ECF, QTS, iPGCE).
• Significant classroom teaching experience and proven leadership capability.
• Demonstrated ability to drive whole‑school improvement and curriculum innovation.
