Assistant IT Manager

About the role

We are looking for an innovative and detail‑oriented Assistant IT Manager to support the IT Manager at Accor Hotels in Dubai. The role will help oversee the technology infrastructure, implement new systems and ensure smooth daily operations across the hotel portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager to oversee daily operations of the IT department.
• Manage IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.
• Monitor and maintain IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot complex IT issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Assist in creating and managing the IT budget.
• Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with budgeting and financial planning in IT contexts.
• Adaptability to new technologies and industry changes.
• Customer‑service orientation and willingness to work flexible hours.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and IT compliance regulations.
