Staff DevOps Engineer

About the role

LeanTech is a fast‑growing fintech building the financial data infrastructure for the MENA region. As a Staff DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer you will own the architecture, reliability strategy, and scalability of hybrid and multi‑cloud infrastructure supporting mission‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own infrastructure architecture across hybrid cloud (GCP, OCI, on‑prem).
• Design and evolve Kubernetes platforms for multi‑region scalability, resilience and cost efficiency.
• Establish Infrastructure as Code and GitOps standards across all environments.
• Build and scale observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) to enable proactive reliability.
• Lead efforts to meet and exceed SLA, SLO and error‑budget targets.
• Own incident management processes, including post‑mortems and systemic fixes.
• Drive automation for provisioning, scaling, patching and operations.
• Champion security, compliance and reliability best practices (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS).

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering.
• Background in fintech or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of multi‑region, high‑availability architectures.
• Experience with edge/network platforms and service mesh technologies.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.

• Kubernetes design, operations and troubleshooting
• Terraform or equivalent IaC tools
• Python, Go or similar scripting languages
• Multi‑cloud/hybrid environments (GCP, OCI preferred)
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD)
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration
• Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
• Datastores: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, CIS)
