Assistant Manager - Production

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Production will lead daily ready‑mix concrete operations, ensuring that production aligns with sales orders, pour schedules and delivery commitments. This role works closely with dispatch, sales, quality control and maintenance teams to guarantee on‑time, high‑quality concrete delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and run daily production, overseeing batching plant operations and large continuous pours, including night and special weather pours.
• Monitor plant productivity (m³/hour, truck turnaround, uptime) and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage cement, GGBS, fly ash, aggregates, sand and admixture inventories, raising material requirements to avoid production stops.
• Ensure concrete meets grade, slump, temperature and durability specifications; maintain calibration records.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of batching plants, mixers, conveyors, silos and chillers.
• Enforce HSE rules, manage dust, noise and wastewater compliance, and support ISO 9001/14001/45001 audits.
• Lead, train and assess production staff, plan shifts and prepare production reports, KPIs and cost analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years in ready‑mix concrete production, with 3–5 years in a supervisory or assistant‑manager role.
• UAE/GCC ready‑mix experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of batching plant systems and controls (e.g., Liebherr, Elkon, SIMEM, MEKA).
• Concrete mix design and technology expertise.
• Hot‑weather concreting techniques.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, BS EN 206 and ASTM concrete specifications.
• Plant productivity monitoring and material inventory management.
• Quality control procedures for concrete production.
• Preventive maintenance of batching equipment.
• Health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance.
