Planning Engineer – Bridges & Infrastructure (Etihad Rail)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead scheduling and control activities for large‑scale bridge and infrastructure works on the Etihad Rail project in Dubai. The role involves developing detailed programmes, monitoring progress, and ensuring delivery in line with client and authority requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and MS Project (optional), covering all construction phases from mobilisation to handover.
• Prepare cost‑loaded and resource‑loaded programmes, change logs, KPIs, and Earned Value Management reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, subcontractors and authorities to align work with the baseline schedule and identify major risks.
• Produce look‑ahead programmes, progress reports, mitigation and recovery plans, and conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress.
• Analyse critical path, float and resource allocation to optimise timelines and support delay analysis (Time Impact and Window analyses).
• Participate in progress meetings, present updates to management and clients, and ensure compliance with planning guidelines and document control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil or construction management) with a minimum of 7 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a planning role on similar bridge/infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Involvement in at least two Dubai‑based projects within the last five years and strong English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Dubai authority procedures, standards and NOC/traffic diversion processes.
