About the role
The College of Health Sciences at Abu Dhabi University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Clinical Psychology and Mental Health program. The appointment begins in August 2026 and involves teaching, research, and supervision of practicum students.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Assessment, Psychopathology, Counseling Techniques, and Psychotherapy.
- Conduct research and scholarly activities in clinical psychology, mental health, psychotherapy, and psychological assessment.
- Publish findings in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals.
- Advise, mentor, and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in seminars, tutorials, internships, and research projects.
- Design and implement experiential learning activities (clinical simulations, role‑plays, supervised practice, case studies) to develop clinical competencies.
- Participate in curriculum development and periodic review of program and practicum components to meet accreditation standards.
