About the role
The Assistant Professor in Video Game Design will join Abu Dhabi University to deliver high‑quality teaching and research in game development, interactive media, game programming, and digital storytelling. The role balances theoretical instruction with hands‑on, project‑based learning to prepare students for industry challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in video game design and related subjects.
- Design, update, and continuously improve course materials and curricula.
- Assess student performance, supervise capstone and portfolio projects, and provide academic advising.
- Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and lead specialized research initiatives.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance student employability and keep the program aligned with current standards.
- Participate in departmental service and contribute to the university’s mission and values.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Active research record in video game design, interactive media, or related fields.
- Commitment to the university’s mission, vision, and values.
- Ability to engage with industry partners and contribute to curriculum relevance.
